In October 2024, a life-changing initiative took place in Mogadishu, where a group of orphaned children
underwent critical eye surgeries. These children, who had been living with severe vision impairments,
were given a second chance to see the world around them.
Through the mercy of Allah and the support of kind donors and medical professionals, seven children
successfully received eye treatments that restored their vision. The surgeries were performed over the
course of one week at a specialized eye care center in Mogadishu.
The children who received treatment ranged in age from 7 to 11 years old. For many of them, this was
their first opportunity to see clearly, opening up new possibilities for education, interaction, and
independence.
This achievement stands as a testament to what can be accomplished when communities come together
to care for their most vulnerable members. These seven orphans now have the blessing of sight, and
their lives have been forever changed.
